Modern Slavery Statement

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps taken by Law Business Research Limited and its subsidiaries (together, trading as Centellic) to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its business operations and supply chains.

Centellic is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We take seriously our responsibility to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our organisation or our supply chain, and this statement reflects the policies, processes and controls we have in place to uphold that commitment.

Our Business and Structure

Centellic is a technology‑enabled information services business supporting the global legal industry with data, intelligence, analytics, research and digital tools. We operate internationally, delivering subscription‑based products, services and events to professional clients.

Centellic’s operations are primarily office‑based and professional in nature. Our workforce is comprised predominantly of employees and contractors engaged in editorial, research, technology, sales, marketing, events and corporate functions.

This statement applies to all entities within the Centellic group that are subject to the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our Supply Chain

Centellic works with a range of suppliers globally, including providers of:

  • technology platforms and infrastructure;
  • professional and advisory services;
  • event venues and associated services;
  • marketing, data, and content‑related services; and
  • office facilities and real estate services.

While Centellic does not operate in sectors generally considered to be high‑risk for modern slavery, we recognise that risks may still arise indirectly through extended supply chains, particularly where goods or services are sourced internationally.

Policies and Governance

Centellic has adopted a number of policies and frameworks that support its commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking, including:

  • a Code of Conduct setting out expected standards of ethical behaviour;
  • supplier‑facing contractual provisions addressing compliance with applicable laws and ethical standards;
  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy; and
  • whistleblowing and reporting mechanisms that allow concerns to be raised confidentially and, where appropriate, anonymously.

These policies are communicated internally and form part of the standards we expect our suppliers and business partners to meet.

Due Diligence and Risk Management

Centellic adopts a proportionate, risk‑based approach to supplier due diligence. Our approach includes:

  • assessing the nature and geographical location of suppliers and services;
  • prioritising long‑term relationships with reputable and established suppliers; and
  • conducting due diligence for certain new suppliers, including through questionnaires and contractual assurances, where appropriate.

Based on the nature of our business and supply chains, Centellic currently considers the overall risk of modern slavery and human trafficking to be low. Nonetheless, we continue to review our assessment as our business evolves and as external risk factors change.

Awareness, Training and Reporting

Centellic is committed to promoting awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking among its employees. Mandatory training is provided to relevant employees to help them recognise indicators of modern slavery and understand their responsibilities.

Employees and contractors are encouraged to report concerns through established reporting and whistleblowing channels. Reports are taken seriously and investigated appropriately.

Monitoring and Continuous Improvement

Centellic recognises that preventing modern slavery is an ongoing process. We will continue to review our policies, due diligence processes and training programmes to ensure they remain appropriate to the nature, scale and complexity of our business and supply chains.
